Location

When you enter Cariboo Country, you know you're in a special part of British Columbia. Not only will you witness scenery not found anywhere else in the world, you will sense the historical mystique of the region. The Cariboo Trail (Hwy 97 north from Cache Creek) roughly follows the original Gold Rush Trail of the 1860's. Evidence of the legendary "Gold Rush" fever that descended on the land still lingers today, with tales of fortune and failure, lost gold and hidden stashes. But the greatest treasure is the rich scenery and relaxing atmosphere.

You can rely on hot, dry summers and cold, but comfortable winters. There is no shortage of things to do and nature to enjoy. Whatever the season, we promise an unforgettable experience at Northwood Lodge & Resort.
